As a kid growing up skating and surfing, it was a dream come true to work on a skateboarding commercial for Nike. And not just any skating shoe, but the first free sole skateboarding shoe ever made. And not just any skaters, Sean Malto and Shane O'Neill are about the most naturally talented pro skaters out there.

The sets were built out practically and both Sean and Shane did multiple takes with and without the shoes. The building of the shoe was designed carefully so that it accentuated specific details of the shoe without being grounded in its material reality. Art directed and designed at Brand New School.
